Exclusion Process Senate Letter

Contact Your Senator Today.

Senators Toomey and Jones are leading a bipartisan, Senate-wide letter to Ambassador Lighthizer requesting that USTR implement an exclusion process for the latest batch of tariffs on imports from China.  If you agree with this view please feel free to use this resource.

List 3 of Sec. 301 tariffs on Chinese imports covers $200B of imports by value, including 6,000+ tariff lines. Unlike for Lists 1 and 2 (covering ~$50B total imports), USTR has not implemented a product exclusion process for this list.

This letter is being circulated by Senator Pat Toomey (R-PA) and Senator Doug Jones (D-AL) requesting an exclusion process for the List 3 China 301 tariffs.  It includes edits based on feedback from Senate offices. Please use this version when contacting Senate offices to sign on.

Pat Toomey (R-PA)
Tom Cotton (R-AR)
John Cornyn (R-TX)
Diane Feinstein (D-CA)
Doug Jones (D-AL)
James Lankford (R-OK)
Jon Kyl (R-AZ)
John Thune (R-SD)
Todd Young (R-IN)

The deadline for Senators to sign the letter is Thursday, November 15.
